Dear Friends:

Because of the severity of the brain injury, Matt’s body is in a weakened and fragile state. Regrettably, Matt’s condition continues to be unpredictable; however, the Matt we all know and love is a strong fighter! According to Mark, yesterday was a tough day for Matt, but the doctors “threw the book” of medical options at him yesterday and were able to somewhat stabilize his condition.

Today will be a continuation of the watching and waiting process that inevitably comes with the types of injuries Matt has sustained. We, Matt’s family and friends, face the helpless feeling of wanting to do whatever it takes to help him; yet, we are left with the frustrating realization that all we can do is be still and pray. God has Matt wrapped securely in His arms and we must remain faithful in our petitions and prayers for recovery.

Today, more than ever before, it is urgent that we pray for Matt…pray for Mark, Nancy, Missy, and Nikki…

  5. Matt Shellee and I were talking after coming home from the hospital, she said when you pull through this she will do whatever she needs to do to take you down to the lake to go fishing... (as long as you will still take the fish off the hook for her). You know you are in our prays as you always are. Mark, Nancy, Niki, Missy you know how to reach us for anything, all you have to do is tell us how high to jump and we are there for you no matter what. We will help with anything you need, our prayers are with you all as well. But you all know that! We love you guys! Be strong and let Gods will be done.

  8. Matt-
I just want to say that I know that you are a strong man and that you will pull throught this with God's grace. I will continue to lift you up in prayer and ask God's healing hand to touch your body give you a fast recovery.

    Mark, Nancy, Nikki, and Missy-
I just wanted to stop in and say how much I love you guys and will continue to ask for God to reign down his grace and love on each of you. Continue to keep the faith and know that God has the plans for Matts life and we have to lean on his understanding to pull him through this. Continue to have hope and don't let satan get you during this trial in your life. On the other side of this we will see God's glory revealed. Continue to take it one day at a time and pray without ceasing. If there is ANYTHING that I can do for you guys please let me know. All my love
